GP ICE RACE
In 2020, the legendary GP Ice Race, held in the Austrian mountain town of Zell am See, became the first rally event in history to integrate climate action into its athletes and cars. GP Ice Race is literally a race on ice, where 134 cars compete in extreme conditions. As one of the event's main sponsors, and one of the world's premier sponsors of winter sports, Viessmann partnered with CHOOOSE to make its presence count by putting climate in the driver seat in front of thousands of spectators.
VIMOVE FOR CLIMATE
The idea is simple: Participants log their exercise and Viessmann rewards their activity by donating a tree – every kilometer and every minute counts. Throughout the first rounds of the campaign, 8,000 participants across three dozen countries have covered a cumulative 437,189 kilometers and spent 4,284 hours exercising The massive engagement has resulted in Viessmann donating 300,000 trees as a contribution to impactful reforestation programs. The company is planning to build on the success by continuing #ViMove for Climate in 2021.
